An extremely charming early burr walnut bureau bookcase, made in England between 1710 and 1730, with original glazed panel doors over a fall front with fitted interior above two short and two long drawers on original ogee bracket feet. During the 18th Century this object epitomised refinement, combining a desk, filing cabinet and library in one. It told the world; we have correspondence affairs to manage! Now it will bring depth and character to any room, a very special piece of particularly lovely coloured patina.
