A pair of early ebonised Swedish chairs, likely made of birch, retaining their original brown leather seats. An unusual pair, both for their dark colouring and for the survival of the original leather, which has aged beautifully over time. The surface now shows rich cracks and deepened tones, a patina known as “alligatoring”.
